Cameron Lake Trestle // Explore VanIsle

Cameron lake is a very commonly passed lake. It's on the main way to tofino, and also anywhere north/west island. Many people will swim in it during the summer months, however the train tracks aren't something most people would look to travel on. No longer is the train running, so walking out to the trestles make for a beautiful afternoon walk.

From the coordinates below, we park in the little gravel spot off to the side right before the train track. You then just start walking towards the lake. In all there are 4 or 5 sets of trestles along the lake, although we only made it to the first set, it is possible to actually walk the entire track around the lake. 

These photos were taken at 3 pm on an October afternoon. The lighting is good at really anytime during the day and in any weather! For those who are looking for an adventure this is so beautiful, dispersed with patches of trees and water views all along the way.

For those of you looking to shoot, GO HERE! Honestly I'd love to take a couple and do a shoot here, the whole atmosphere screams west coast.
