Time flies by when you're traveling, Ryan and I were just talking today about how we can't believe it's been a week! SO much has happened and my heart is so full while looking back on this past week. One thing I've realized is how much traveling in a new place with so many new things scares me. There is so much unknown to every new place... the heat, the accommodations, the transportation (Which at times is the scariest part), the people, the language, etc. Especially heading into Khao Sok National park on Tuesday, we were officially heading into a huge Jungle. Something I've come to understand more though is the benefit of just taking it moment by moment. This allows for the stress of say the bugs, humidity, and the unknown of what's to come to happen when it happens. As well, realizing that those things will not kill me and so it's not something I should lock myself in the hotel room with the air conditioning on full blast for (Which is possibly at times what I've done... Thank goodness for Ryan)

A verse that has been prominent to me this past week has been "Grace leads to repentance". Mainly repentance to me means bringing yourself to a deeper more realistic understanding of who God is. Then turning from what you were originally doing because of that knowledge. Fear and anxiety can lead us to loosing sight of who God is, this never turns out well. Through having bouts of worry the past week, I've found such instant rest and peace in the understanding who my heavenly father is. His grace, steadfast love and power over all creation is so significant; I really have nothing to fear.

These photos include...

  • Our Snorkelling trip on Koh Tao (Which was fun and one of the coolest things I've ever done)
  • Our hike to the look out point
  • Some photos from the remainder of our time on Koh Tao
  • Then our start to the Jungle (Including our jungle track with the elephants and our new little friend who loves to dance + take photos with Ryan's go pro)

For my kids reading this, I miss you! I hope you got to see my video and another one is coming shortly. If you want, you can always leave a comment at the bottom of this page letting me know you say hi.

Miss you all!
