Funds + Moving Update!
Hello Friends!
As I begin to prepare and get excited about Africa, I have so many emotions going on inside my heart. (If you've missed why I'm going- Feel to click here for the full post on "Why I am going to Kenya") In this post I hope to just take a few minutes to share a few specific praise reports, prayer requests and financial needs.
A few praise reports...
1. I've finished my final teaching practicum and will be graduating this week!
2. Despite all the new changes in this season, the Lord has continued to be faithful in providing peace and great joyful anticipation for what's ahead.
3. As financial support has began to come, it has been such a beautiful experience. I have loved seeing the the beautiful providence of our heavenly father in this way.
A few prayer requests
1. My teaching certificate needs to come in from the BC government ASAP for my Visa for Kenya to go through. Prayer that this process will go quickly.
2. Prayer for continued peace and wisdom in this season of change. That I will remember the reason I am choosing to move to Nairobi and hold fast to the comfort of who Christ is.
3. Prayer that all preparation and saying goodbyes in the next month here will be smooth.
Financial update
Here's an update on some financial needs. Since the school is an independent school seeking to serve the families of missionaries in Nairobi, my salary does not cover my full living costs. To serve, they suggest I raise $13,300 for initial set up costs (buying a car and setting up a home) as well as raising $920/month for normal living costs such as rent, food etc.
I have now raised just over 1/4 of the initial funds that I need to set up in Nairobi! (Praise the Lord!) I still need just over $10,400 to have enough to set up a home and buy a car once I am there.
As well, I have raised just over a 1/4 of my monthly costs, which means I need still need a monthly donation of $640.

How to give...
If you do feel led to give financially to support my ministry here are your options:
1. You can give the money to me personally (this will go towards up-front costs)
2. Or you may sponsor online at https://crossworld.org/give/ (My project number is 45329 ). With this, you can sign up for monthly donations or choose to give for a one time cost.
However, PLEASE do not give a cent to me without praying about it first. Money is beneficial but prayers are necessary.
