October
Hello Community!
This month has flown by! Between diving into my work with Tumaini Counselling Centre, starting an anxiety counseling group through my church, and juggling all the usual ministry and life responsibilities, it’s been a FULL month.
Before I share some highlights, I have a favor to ask. Are you on Instagram or Facebook and willing to help me out? I've recently taken over social media for the counseling center here in Nairobi, and I'm working to grow our reach. I'm sharing mental health tips, resources, and highlighting aspects of the center and our clinicians. If you'd like to follow along and support us by liking and commenting on posts, it would help us reach more people. Since we are a ministry, simply following our social media pages and engaging with our posts can help us spread the word about our mission and potentially reach those who can support it.

A Ministry Update:
As I shared last month, I was quite a bit under the amount of support I needed monthly. I have, by the goodness and providence of God, raised most of this back. I am about 200$ away from the amount I really need a month, but I trust God to provide the right people to take care of this final amount. If you are interested in learning more about how you can partner, please reach out to me or check out this link for the details.
Highlights from this Month:
A new video for Tumaini Counselling Centre (TCC):
A good friend of mine popped into town and offered to shoot a brand-new promo video for Tumaini Counselling Centre, which was such an exciting surprise! We’ll be launching it alongside our new website next month, so keep an eye out for that.New Client Load:
As I continue to integrate into Tumaini Counselling Centre, I’ve taken on 7 new clients this month, ranging in age from 15 to 55. It’s been a stretching experience, and I often feel out of my depths, but I can see how God is using this challenge to grow me personally and expand my ministry reach. It’s exciting to watch His hand at work through each session.Baptism Celebration:
I had the joy of celebrating the baptism of my good friend Waizeh this month! It was such a beautiful and powerful moment to witness.Redoing a Website for TCC:
I’ve also been hard at work redoing the Tumaini Counselling Centre website (just a side project as this is fun for me and I know how to work the technology). It’s coming together beautifully, and we’re excited for the new look and easier navigation. Stay tuned for the launch next month!Anxiety Counselling Group:
Our anxiety counseling group is officially underway! It’s been amazing to see participants open up and support each other as they learn more about managing anxiety in a safe, faith-filled environment.Spoke in Church:
I had the privilege of speaking in church on “Trusting God in Singleness,” which really turned into a message about how to trust God, period. God used the message to challenge many people, including myself, in the importance of intimacy and delight with Him being our main goal. Here’s the link if you’re interested: Video Link
