Erica & Brett //Wedding
Erica & Brettâs day couldnât have been more perfectly suited to them. From the locations to the people and even their little detailsâĶjust everything radiated their personality.
There were so many highlights for me in this day. When I got to the guys hotel room, Sarah and I arrived to find 7 guys in their underwear and shirts. Brett asked me if I wanted their shirts on or off, to which I replied very abruptly âOff!â (Because I knew thatâs what Erica had requested for photos). Realizing how over enthusiastic I mightâve sounded I tried to back track âWell I mean, if you want. Itâs really okay either wayâĶI mean I think thatâs what Erica wantedâ. I donât think any backtracking couldâve done it justice, the deed was done.
For the girls getting ready photos, the location was at the same place where the reception was later being held. The beach house was this beautiful white walled, nautical themed room with huge windows opening up to a gorgeous view of the ocean. I dieâĶitâs pretty much every photographers dream.
After the ceremony and wedding party photos were through, Erica and Brett had set aside a little over and hour and a half for photos with just the two of them. It was so fun to be a part of capturing them together. They take such joy in life, even in things such as the goofy glasses. I love that throughout observing them communicate and interact with each other I could sense such a deep respect and love that was mutual amongst them.
The reception took place on a property in Qualicum beach. It looked over the ocean, with a tennis court where the guests were seated and an infinity pool that had a 180 degree view of the ocean. SO beautiful.
My all time favourite quote from the day was during the best manâs speech he said âErica, if youâre wondering how Brett will look at you in 19 yearsâĶjust look at the way he looks at meâ :)
Overall the whole day was gorgeous and I was incredibly thankful for the opportunity to be a part of it.
