Emily & Dan // Wedding
Emily & Daniel found me through friends of friends we mutually know in Chiliwack. When they explained to me the details of their day, I was seriously overjoyed to be a part of it. Then when they came over in March for their engagement photos I got even more excited. As we spent a few hours in the afternoon together, I realized that I felt as though I was spending time with 2 good friends, not strangers I had just met.
Now fast forward to August 7th, the day before Emily & Danielâs wedding, I got picked up by Emilyâs sister Jessica and her brides maid Karissa. Before I arrived that day Emily texts me to let me know that theyâd be picking me up and mentions that âitâll be the car with the moustacheâ âĶI actually laughed out loud. Oh this is going to be fun.
The day of the wedding was a little over cast, but with sunny breaksâĶwhich was so much better then the thunderstorms the weather man was calling for the week previous ( Itâs all the prayer people, it really does work!). The ceremony was held at the Little white album wedding chapel, which is this beautiful little wedding chapel in Greendale. I felt like weâd stepped back in time to a wedding in the 1950âs.
My favourite part of the day was definitely the reception, which was located on a beautiful farm in Chilliwack with a blooming buckwheat field in the background and the cloudy mountains in the distance. The white tents were set up in the middle of the property, all complete with an ice creme bar and a candy bar (which the kids literally stalked until it was open in the later evening).
Overall the day was gorgeous. I loved that the family and friends that attended were all so deeply in love and joyful for Emily and Dan, both as individuals and as a couple. It was so apparent to me that this couple was very special to many people. I loved as the father of the groom spoke about Emily during his speech he said â We were used to having a bunch of boys in the house. and most of them were a little fearful of me, usually giving me a lot of space, not Emily. She came the first day and plopped herself right next to me on the couch and said âHi!â. This was unusual and not something I expected. (He started to get teary as he continued) But now I look forward to those moments on the couch, talking while we sip our coffee.â)

Oh my goodness. Just so much love.
Thanks for taking the time to look through these, Hope you enjoy ~
